Everyone knows how important a good night’s sleep is for growing kids! Here are some helpful tips for ensuring your little one is well-rested:

  1. Set a regular bedtime schedule and try to be consistent
  2. Establish a nightly routine that is relaxing and helps your child wind down
    • Take a warm bath, brush teeth, read a book (or a few!)
    • Allow your child to choose a soft comfort object to sleep with
    • Eliminate screen time from your child’s bedtime routine and avoid having any screens/media in your child’s room
    • Try to address any potty and/or water needs prior to bedtime to avoid getting out of bed once settled
  3. Keep noise levels low and the room slightly cool

As always, if you have questions about improving your preschooler’s sleep habits, consult your pediatrician.
